A native of San Juan, Puerto Rico, Lady Volmar was an LMRCSC fellow, who earned her B.S. degree in Marine Science from Savannah State University. Lady researched microplastic, focusing on oysters reefs in Dr. Ebanks’s lab. Her research interests are microplastics, toxicology, and coral reef ecology. 

Lady plans to pursue a doctoral degree, focusing on the biology and ecology of coral reefs.
