Davielle Drayton earned her master’s degree in Marine Sciences at Savannah State University in Spring 2020. She worked under the advisement of Dr. Dionne Hoskins-Brown, where her studies involved evaluating microplastic consumption by oysters (Crassostrea virginica) in coastal Georgia, through the analysis of oysters and sediment samples collected from both naturally occurring and restored reefs.  Ms. Drayton holds a Bachelor of Science in Marine Science from Savannah State University.

Ms. Drayton was employed in November, 2022 by the US Corp of Engineers in the Regulatory Division and her field of work is in Natural Resources/Conservation.
