All PI’s, Co-PI’s, and student investigators are required to successfully complete online training on the protection of human subjects. This training can be found at:

The training will take approximately 2.5 hours to complete. The training session does not have to be completed at one time, however. Researchers who are taking the training can stop and return to the training later, proceeding from where s/he previously left off, as needed.
Once the training is completed, a competency exam will be administered. Upon successful completion of training, a certificate will be awarded. The IRB will need a copy of the certificate on file before research protocols can be approved. Please send a copy of the certificate to the IRB Co-Chair, Clayton Faubion, Department of Rehabilitation, Hazel Hall, room 1109.
