All publications are searchable through any means including but not limited to Google Scholar,\u00a0databases, and more! Click the&nbsp;OrchID&nbsp;link to learn more about&nbsp;OrchID, the benefits of a persistent identifier, and how to create your own today!&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title has-background has-header-secondary-bg-color-background-color has-text-color has-header-main-bg-color-color\"><strong>Submit Work <\/strong><\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\" style=\"border-color:#651d32\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To publish your work on SOAR@UMES:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create&nbsp;an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/mdsoar.org\/register\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">account<\/a>&nbsp;using your&nbsp;UMES email.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will receive an email from MD-SOAR asking you to&nbsp;finish registering your account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Follow the link in the email&nbsp;to finish creating your account.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UMES staff will then manually add you as a submitter to the&nbsp;collection. This usually takes 1-2 business days.&nbsp;&nbsp;Once you are&nbsp;added, you can&nbsp;submit&nbsp;your&nbsp;materials.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Then upload your file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Login to your account.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Find the black bar on the left side of your screen and select \u2018New&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;Item.\u2019&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the collection you wish to&nbsp;submit&nbsp;to.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enter the information&nbsp;required&nbsp;for each descriptive field (e.g.&nbsp;Title, Author, Date Published, etc.). We ask that you enter as much information as you can, as the more data entered the easier it is for your work to be discovered.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"5\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Upload your&nbsp;file. File size is limited to 2&nbsp;GB. Format restrictions are listed below.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"6\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the\u00a0appropriate license\u00a0for your\u00a0work. ONLY select from the \u201cCreative Commons License\u201d dropdown menu if you\u00a0wish to assign a\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/creativecommons.org\/share-your-work\/cclicenses\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">creative commons license<\/a>.\u00a0Once\u00a0selected\u00a0there is no way to remove a\u00a0license\u00a0and the submission must be restarted.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"7\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Select the box agreeing to SOAR@UMES Distribution license allowing SOAR@UMES a non-exclusive right to reproduce,&nbsp;publicly&nbsp;display and distribute your work&nbsp;at no cost to users.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"8\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click \u2018Deposit\u2019 to\u00a0submit\u00a0your work. (You can, at any time, select \u2018save for later\u2019 to save your submission for another time.
