Below is a link to quick guide reference sheets providing citation examples from the latest editions of five style manuals. The library also provides access to RefWorks, an online citation management tool, that allows you to import citations from databases and websites and automatically create bibliographies (set the output style to the desired style manual).

AGRICOLA (EBSCO) – Contains bibliographic records from the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s National Agricultural Library. AGRICOLA provides millions of citations relating to the field of agriculture that are comprised of journal articles, book chapters, theses, patents, software, audiovisual materials and technical reports to support agricultural research.

AGRICOLA (National Agriculture Library) – This website by the U.S. National Agricultural Library allows researchers to search citations from two databases: indexed journal articles and the NAL catalog. Content includes journal articles, books and more.

Agricultural & Environmental Science Collection (ProQuest) – This database offers full-text titles from around the world, including scholarly journals, trade and industry journals, magazines, technical reports, conference proceedings and government publications. It also includes abstracting and indexing resources, as well as the AGRICOLA and TOXLINE databases and content previously available in ESPM (Environmental Sciences and Pollution Management) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS). American Chemical Society (ACS) – The ACS Publications database provides full-text access to more than 80 magazine and peer-reviewed journals in the field of chemistry and provides some content on agribusiness.

Regional Business News (EBSCO) – This database provides full-text coverage of 75 business journals, newspapers and newswires from the metropolitan and rural areas of the U.S. Updated daily.

SAGE Premier Journals (SAGE Publishing) – This web database provides full-text access to more than 650 peer-reviewed journals, including high-impact research and international titles on behalf of over 500 scholarly and professional societies. Its interdisciplinary coverage spans subjects in business, the humanities, social sciences, sciences, technology, medicine and more.

ScienceDirect (Elsevier) – This full-text database contains peer-reviewed journal titles and ebooks covering the fields of science, technology and medicine. It includes extensive coverage in the physical and biological sciences, engineering, life sciences, health sciences, among others.

Environmental Impact Statements (EIS) Database (EPA) – This website provides environmental impacts statements filed with the EPA since 1987.

GreenFILE (EBSCO) This database is a collection of scholarly, government and general-interest titles. Content includes the environmental effects of individuals, corporations and local/national governments and how to minimize these effects. Topics include global climate change, green building, pollution, sustainable agriculture, renewable energy, recycling and more.

JSTOR – An electronic archive of core journals in the humanities, social sciences and sciences. Includes complete runs of journals with full-text of all articles published from volume 1, issue 1.

JSTOR Global Plants – This online platform collects global plants content, tools, and people interested in biological and plant science. It has foundational content vital to plant science, including plant type specimens, taxonomic structures, scientific literature, and related materials such as letters, maps, paintings, and drawings.

Ebook Collection (EBSCO) – Formerly NetLibrary, this collection of ebooks covers topics chosen by the University of Maryland Libraries. Subjects include business, computer science, education, environmental science, international relations, psychology and civil rights law and history.

Ebook Comprehensive Academic Collection (EBSCO) – This multidisciplinary collection includes over 200,000 ebook titles covering a large selection of academic subjects and features ebooks from leading publishers and university presses. 

E-Books (OCLC) – This online catalog contains all the electronic books cataloged by OCLC members.
