For continuing full-time and part-time students, a cumulative GPA of 3.3 or better for the prior or last semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\" class=\"underline\">Hazel Endowment<\/span><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hazel scholars are chosen from undergraduate and graduate students in education who meet established academic criteria. The annual, full tuition scholarships will be awarded with a priority to students from the Eastern Shore of Maryland, the Eastern Shore of Virginia, and Sussex County, Delaware. Fifty fellowships of approximately $20,000 are awarded yearly with funds provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation. The IDRF program is committed to scholarship that advances knowledge about non-U.S. cultures and societies grounded in empirical and site-specific research (involving fieldwork, research in archival or manuscript collections, or quantitative data collection). Several countries also offer English Teaching Assistant positions. Most grantees plan their own programs. Projects may include university coursework, independent library or field research, classes in a music conservatory or art school, special projects in the social or life sciences, or a combination. Recent projects have involved cancer research in the UK, free market development in Mauritius, women&#8217;s rights in Chile and contemporary artistic expression in India.
