Registration hold for those students who are not vaccinated?
Not at this time. Considering.

Requirements for unvaccinated student without exemption?
Students who are not vaccinated and do not submit an exemption request (medical or religious), will be subject to UMES COVID Health and Safety Guidelines in place at the University. Students who are unvaccinated are required to comply with the protocols noted below:

–Getting vaccinated; or

–Submission of Medical or Religious Exemption Form;

–Completing the Qualtrics daily monitor symptom checking

–Attendance at weekly Mandatory COVID testing. Unvaccinated students may not miss a week of testing. If testing is missed without a valid reason the students will receive a conduct memo and further disciplinary action;

–Adhering to mask requirements.

Consequences of non-compliance for unvaccinated students?
Subject to COVID testing twice per week.

Requirements for unvaccinated employee without exemption?
Employees who are not vaccinated and do not submit an exemption request (medical or religious), will be subject to the UMES COVID Health and Safety Guidelines in place at the University. Employees who are unvaccinated are required to comply with the protocols noted below:

–Getting vaccinated; or

–Submission of Medical or Religious Exemption Form;

–Completing the Qualtrics daily monitor sympton checking;

–Attendance at weekly Mandatory COVID testing. Unvaccinated employees may not miss a week of testing. If testing is missed without a valid reason (off campus, on leave, etc.), the employee will receive a counseling memo;

–Adhering to mask requirement.

Consequences of non-compliance for unvaccinated employee?
Progressive disciplinary action:

1.) Phone call to remind employee of vaccine or exemption requirements if not in compliance before August 2, 2021.

2.) A counseling letter will be issued to the employee if not in compliance after August 2, 2021.

3) A letter of reprimand will be issued to employee for non-compliance to safety protocols.

4.) Continuation of Progressive Discipline up to and including termination.
