Black History Month Film Screening: Farming While Black

The University of Maryland Eastern Shore will host a free Black History Month screening and panel discussion of the documentary, Farming While Black, on Thursday, Feb. 12, at 11 a.m.
This documentary examines the plight of Black farmers in the United States and the rising generation reclaiming their rightful ownership to land and reconnecting with their roots.
The 75-minute film screening will be followed by a 45-minute panel discussion featuring director Mark Decena, and film subject and farmer Blain Snipstal, along with other farmers.
The screening will be held in the Student Services Center theater on campus. Pre-register: https://blackhistorymonthscreening.eventbrite.com This event is open to the public.
The free screening is sponsored by The Campbell Foundation, Salisbury University, and the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s Extension, School of Agricultural and Natural Sciences, and Department of English, Languages and Media Studies.
